Zach’s practice is focused on advocating for victims of crime, corporate negligence, and other wrongdoing. He regularly represents individuals who have experienced catastrophic injuries or the wrongful death of a loved one, and he looks for every angle to hold the right parties accountable. Zach has experience with workplace incidents, motor-vehicle and trucking collisions, premises liability, negligent security, government liability, administrative law, civil and criminal RICO, and healthcare law. Zach applies a specialized understanding of statutory and regulatory schemes to navigate obscured procedural hazards; to identify and correct (or seek punishment for) compliance failures; to successfully hold government entities and officials accountable; and, in addition to his private practice, to help individuals obtain benefits to which they are justly entitled.
Before joining SSMK, Zach clerked for Augusta Judicial Circuit Judge Jesse C. Stone. This experience offered Zach exposure to a wide variety of legal disputes and, most importantly, exposure to the difficulties, frustrations, and unfairness individuals face when forced to navigate the legal system on their own. With a deep appreciation for this experience, Zach strives to use the privilege of a legal education to be a “lawyer for people”—for fairness to individual persons and for the interests of others who would endeavor to better the lives of people. In law school, Zach externed with the Cobb County District Attorney’s Office Appellate Division and participated in the GSU College of Law’s Urban Fellows program and Health Law Partnership Legal Clinic.
